Izmir Kisa Film Festival to host 'Gray Umbrella'

Iran short film 'Gray Umbrella' is to be screened at the 19th Izmir Kisa Film Festival in Turkey.

Iranian short film 'Gray Umbrella' has been scheduled to go on the silver screen at the 19th edition of the Izmir Kisa Film Festival in Turkey.

Directed by Mohmmad Poustindouz, the short film is to represent Iran at the Turkish film event.

So far, 'Gray Umbrella' has succeeded to participate at several international film festivals, including the 11th Human Rights Short Film Festival (Entretodos Festivales De Cortos-Metrangens de Derechos Humano) in Portugal, the 6th International Fantasy & Horror Film Festival in Serbia, the 4th Festival Internacional de Cine Independiente de Paracho in Mexico, the 10th CineGlobe Film Festival in Switzerland, and the 3rd Menorca Film Festival in Spain.

The short film is based on a loose adaptation of a short story by Argentine writer Fernando Sorrentino, titled ‘There's a Man in the Habit of Hitting me on the Head with an Umbrella’.

Poustindouz's ‘Gray Umbrella’ is the story of a man with a bad habit, until a man with an umbrella enters his life.

The 19th edition of the Izmir Kisa Film Festival is slated for October 30-November 4, 2018, in Izmir, Turkey.
